Melaleuca Product:

Melaleuca has a range of over 350 products including nutritional, pharmaceutical, home care and personal care products. Its home care range is eco-friendly and also aims to add to the quality of people’s lives.

Melaleuca Compensation Plan:

Melaleuca works on a 5×7 matrix compensation plan and has recently added some bonuses to the deal including the quality customer bonus and leadership development bonus. Melaleuca also insists that you stay active in order to receive residual commissions by implementing a leadership points system as well as what they term PEG (personal enrollee group volume).  Commissions can range from 7% to 20%.

Final Thoughts on Melaleuca

Melaleuca is one of the older MLM companies.  So you get the stability, but for a brand-new person, this makes the opportunity much harder than a less established company.  I disagree with most of the MLM books that suggest you should look for a 10+ year old debt-free company.  Many of them are ghost-written by distributors who got in very early in the company, like Russ Paley.

Melaleuca Update:

Here is an example of Draconian and restrictive policies that Melaleuca reps must put up with.

  1. Melaleuca was the first MLM company I joined. They really have good products, but in my opinion, the compensation plan is tough to make money with now that Melaleuca has been so firmly established as one of the major network marketing companies.

Even back in 2002-2003, I eneded up with a surprising number of people who had “heard about Melaleuca already.”

  2. Melaleuca is not a mlm, it is a direct buy company that pays out referral commisions from the range of 7% to 20% it also has leadership bonuses and will pay for your car payments when u reach certain qualifications. now as too the company being older so it takes alot make money off of the company. If u do the research their has been people that have gotten in in the last year and have made 80,000 to 100,000 melaleuca is not a qet rick quick scheme. If u put in the time and effort you will make a good income. if any would like to be a part of the Massive Malaysian Launch email. me @ [email protected] I am looking for interested people to partner with. Like your site. would like to share more with u about melaleuca.

I think Melaleuca is squarely in the multi-level marketing category. Sure you can call it a “direct buy” company, and referral commissions, but that’s just euphemisms in my opinion. My English teacher always wanted clear, direct language free from jargon. (LOL)

Melaleuca is a 5 by 7 Matrix, which is 7 levels, and exactly what most people think of as a multi-level marketing business.

It is possible to earn a large income with Melaleuca, but in my opinion, it’s MUCH easier to build a younger company that is less widely known. It’s the Amway disadvantage.

  3. I believe that Melaleuca is an MLM but that shouldn’t matter. MLM’s have the best system to create long-term wealth.

And, if you know how to market, especially online nowadays, anything biz albeit MLM or Direct Sales, the end result will be a real passive income.

  4. I love the Sun Shades lip balm but it is a pain in the butt to find it to just purchase. Does anyone know how I can JUST buy it, I have NOOOOOOO interest in joining or becoming a rep.

    1. Yes, you can go to Melaleuca.com. Just click the customer service tab and call the 800#. You want to order as a “direct customer” ie non-preferred. The prices are slightly higher, but you won’t need to buy a distributor kit and become a rep.

Another alternative is to go to kijiji or craislist and search for somebody selling the products. I’ve done that for the Renew moisturizing lotion myself. Good luck!

  5. I am writing this as a friend of Steve Peters who is one of the top distributors for Melaleuca. If you live in the Mpls./St. Paul area and you want to work with the best, then contact Steve at the link I provided above.
